Are Systems Duplicable?

(Or "duplicatable", if you prefer.)

Here is a great answer: "Of course they are. You are a system of systems yourself - digestive, skeletal, muscular, lymphatic, endocrine, not to forget the reproductive system. If systems were not duplicable, you would not even be here."

What we want to know as marketers, however, is whether the hundreds or thousands of personal business tools and systems that are being sold as "totally and easily duplicable", really are: will any system that is obviously making money for its creator, do the same for you?

Mike Klingler says: "Systems are not duplicable." In reality, the answer is more subtle: some systems are duplicable to varying degrees, but many - if not most - are not. let me explain.

First of all: what is duplication? A dictionary definition says: "The act of repeating or copying [something]." In business, duplication means "The ability to have the people who bought or enrolled into your system produce the same (positive) results as you did."

Many marketing systems and tools are extremely successful, for having been created and being promoted by top marketers, or because they naturally appeal to people's strongest desires, e.g. freedom, wealth, power.

The problem is this: once you purchase them, most fail to live up to their promise - allowing you to have the same level of success. Why? Some reasons are obvious:

1. The massive number of people using the exact same system.

The higher the number of people using the same system, the more it will pop up everywhere, and the less effective it will become. In the end, you will have to compete with thousands, even tens or hundreds of thousands of others using the same system, website, emails, and so on: why would prospects buy from you and not from anyone else?

The answer is: because you are unique, and the person to turn to. Which is what Attraction Marketing helps you to put in place and communicate.

2. The false idea that the system will sell itself, without any effort from the buyer.

Let us get this straight: no system will sell itself - ever. Marketing sells. The same principle applies to selling products: if you buy 1,000 cases of your MLM company's products and just wait for people to come and buy them from you, nothing will happen.

Which is why training is vital to your business success: you can have the greatest system on earth, if you do not know how to use and promote it, it is worthless.

3. All personal and home business systems present the same flaw.

As I explain in my free report, all personal and home business systems I studied and analyzed are incomplete, lacking one or more basic business-building blocks.

Marketing is one of these blocks. Income-generation is another one, and training another. In order to be successful and duplicable, your personal business needs all 7 primordial elements,  rather than just one specific tool or system.

Create a Free Mini-Business and Get Out of Debt

For many of us, it is really important to start making money as FAST as possible and with minimal expenses - preferably for free.

The Rhodes Brothers (authors of the SimpleCashBlog website - being totally rebuilt and reorganized after a server crash and serious backup trouble) have just published their free "Zero Debt Mini-Business Manual".

It contains a 6-step guide to creating a mini-business using only free tools - fast and regardless of your skill-level. Here are the steps:

  1. Pick a topic and do free keyword research
  2. Create a free blog in 5 minutes
  3. Write your first blog posts
  4. Get free traffic to your blog
  5. Generate income through a free Google Adsense account
  6. Continue to add blog posts and traffic

All of this, of course, is elaborated in the guide.

Better still: I am in the process of completing a free step-by-step and click-by-click video training to accompany this guide, that will be available at the Personal Business Makeover School.

If you want to start making money online, or if you need to generate cash to pay for your Network Marketing or other main business' expenses while you are building a downline, this is a good starting point, having the potential to generate from a few dollars per month to a few hundred, to a thousand or more (over time).

"Rich Dad" Kiyosaki Says: Prepare for the Worst

When asked "Is the crisis over?" or "Is the economy coming back?", Robert Kiyosaki answers: "I don't think so. I would prepare for the worst." (Yahoo! Finance)

One of the points he makes, is that the 401(k) plan requires participants to start withdrawing their money at a certain age, and that the massive number of "Baby Boomers" has already started to reach that age. Kiyosaki: "You do not have to be a rocket scientist to know that it is hard for a market to keep going up when more and more people are getting out."

Moreover, the older a person gets, the more their spending habits change from consuming to saving for old age. Which is more bad news for an economy that desperately needs investments and spending in order to reverse its downward movement.

All of this makes it even more important for us to continue building our personal businesses, not only for ourselves and our loved-ones, but also to teach the "Baby Boomers" and their families how to earn extra income outside the classic system.

Thinking is Doing

Are you one of those people who never stop making "todo" lists? I know I used to be. And I know that, if I do not look out, I could fall into that trap again in less time than it takes to say "Make a list of all the things you've got to do today."

Thanks to my dad (bless his soul), I switched over to the system of "Thinking is Doing": whenever I think "I must not forget to do this", I do it immediately. This prevents me from forgetting to add it to a list, and it makes sure I do execute the task instead of forgetting about it the minute I have written it down.

Of course, there are things I cannot do right here and now, and that I have to plan. But I do get an amazing number of small things done every day thanks to this little "system." Thought I'd share it with you :-)
